Turkey?s DowAksa, a carbon fiber manufacturer, signed Friday an agreement with Russia?s Rusnano and its portfolio company Compozit and bought into their Nanotech Composite Center, Compozit Holding announced late last week. The Nanotech Composite Center is a joint effort between Compozit and the Rusnano InfraFund, Rusnano?s special arm to support infrastructure and educational projects. The deal?s value and DowAksa?s stake in the Center have yet to be specified. The Nanotech Composite Center backs start-ups that develop and produce polymer composite materials based products for such fast-growing sectors as construction, energy, and car manufacture. The first production stage of the Center is already operational on the premises of Moscow?s Moskva Technopolis.
