The richest man in the world Carlos Slim invested $60M in Mobli

One of the main competitors of Instagram – Israel mobile platform for photos and videos Mobli attracted investments in amount of $60M from the richest man in the planet – Mexican Carlos Slim.

Initially the service attracted investments in amount of $28M. From this sum about $22M invested the private investor Kenges Rakishi, and about $6,5M invested celebrities Leonardo Di Caprio, Tobey Maguire and Serena Williams.

Attracted investments in a new round from Mr.Slim the company plans to invest in development of inner search, which “will allow watching the world by other people’s eyes”. Besides, within the deal the largest Latin-American telecommunication company “American Movil” which posseses to Mr.Slim, will provide the service distribution among its mobile clients. The “American Movil” is the fourth largest operator in the world with 246 million users in 18 countries over the world, its earning for the 2012 financial year comprised $59,3B.

The “Mobli” has been founded in 2011 by Moshe Hogeg , present director general of the company. The service allows searching users on interests, location and heshtags. At the moment the service is available to owners of Android, iPhone and Windows devices. As initially said Leonardo di Caprio, he has always “inspired with the Mobli’s mission to connect people all over the world through visual images”.
