Facebook has purchased the TA Venture portfolio company for $15M

The largest social network Facebook has purchased for $15M the Indian service “LittleEye”, which specializes on analysis of Android-applications. Appeared to be a seller the “TA Venture” invested in the “LittleEyeLabs” in June, 2013, and became the minority investor of the company together with main investors – accelerators GSF and the “VenturEastTenetFund”.

Founded in August, 2012 by the group of programmers-analytics, the “LittleEye” specializes on creating effective tools for developers of mobile applications. In April, 2013 has been launched the official version of the “LittleEye” for Android – software is intended for estimation, analysis, operating optimization for mobile applications. A share of investments of the TA Venture is not disclosed; however at the seed stage usually invest $50-300K. Foe example, with its help has been discovered and remade a serious bug in official application for the conference developers I/O, organizer of which is Google.

“Namely our portfolio company became the first Indian startup, which has been acquired by such giant as Facebook. This means that we were not mistaken in our choice of a team and a technology, which they offered”, - commented the deal the managing director of the TA Venture Viktoria Tigipko. Before launch of the own project all founders of the “LittleEyeLabs” have been working in IBM. Nowadays the team of “LittleEye” will move to headquarter of Facebook in Menlo-Park (California).

The “Ta Venture” is the venture company, which invests in innovation Internet-projects in Ukraine, Russia and other CIS countries, and also in USA and Europe and on BRIC markets (in Brazil, Russia, India and China). The company is managed by the venture Fund TA Venture with initial capital $50M and invests in projects at the seed ($50-300K) and “early” ($300K-$3M) stages.
