Novosibirsk energy players move to improve training for energy efficiency

The government and energy business in the Novosibirsk region, in Siberia, have pooled their efforts in creating what they refer to as a scientific, production and educational cluster aimed at improving the training of staff for energy efficiency

The government and energy business in the Novosibirsk region, in Siberia, have pooled their efforts in creating what they refer to as a scientific, production and educational cluster, Russian news agency ITAR-TASS reported. The cluster participants want to step up activity in improving the training of skilled professionals for midlevel and top management of companies and organizations working on energy efficiency. Another focus is to make sure all students have rigorous on-the-job training at regional energy sector players. The project initiators include the regional Ministry of Labor, Novosibirsk State Technical University, the Novosibirsk College of Industry and Economics, and Energy-Efficient Siberia, an umbrella consortium for more that 40 energy-related companies and organizations in the region.
