The members of Skolkovo Energy Efficiency Cluster got 2B RUR
The participants of Skolkovo energy efficiency projects received about 2 B RUR in the form of grants to develop their programs, the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev said at a meeting of the innovative development of the economy.
The cluster includes 160 participants now, 34 applications of whom have already been approved for funding - 1.8 B RUR grants are allocated to them. According to Medvedev, considerable part of the funds has already been drawn.
The prime minister also said that the state program Energy saving and energy efficiency exists in Russia and involves reducing energy intensity of GDP by 40% by 2020. The Prime Minister said that the additional incentives still need to be made.
The main focus should be on the ensuring of environmental safety, the development of energy efficiency projects, - Medvedev added noting the technologies to enhance the efficiency of oil and gas wells which would allow better use of an appropriate field.
In addition, he noted some important projects like the processing of associated gas into synthetic crude oil and other liquid fuels, as well as reducing the environmental impact, and technology of smart grids.
