Danaflex, a Russian portfolio company of Rusnano, has launched Russia?s first line to apply tandem extrusion lamination to bendable packages, Rusnano announced. The new Rotomec laminating equipment is said to be able to operate with a capacity of up to 600 meters of the end product a minute, or 600 tons a month. As of today, it is Russia?s only such production line, Rusnano underscored, adding that the machine cost Danaflex 5 million euros. The new line is designed to produce a wide range of combined paper-, aluminum foil- and polymer film-based materials. A package made from such materials is believed to offer improved protective properties, keeping foodstuffs fresh much longer.
