A new project “Business Breakfast” launched in Smolensk

On February,17 a new project “Business Breakfast” launched in Smolensk “Ya-cafe”. Its aim is the informal exchange of views and experience of development prospects of Smolensk Region, organizing and running business. The project was organized by the Office of Youth Policy of the department and the consumer market and business Department of Smolensk Region, as announced at Rosmolodezh website.

Business Breakfast is a special project which helps to gather a lot of people in an informal atmosphere. Entrepreneurs can meet successful businessmen there, politicians and officials and talk to them on different topics. This project is unique due to its democratic and open character (young entrepreneurs, who have submitted applications in advance, can take part in it). The meeting takes place in the morning – the time when business people get a charge of vivacity for the day. A true leader and a business owner who is interested in business development always starts his day early in the morning. Nowadays the phrase “Networking or good connections resolve everything” is very popular in business.

The guests of the first business breakfast were Aleksey Gurenkov, the Deputy Governor of Smolensk Region, and Olga Kirilets, the Head of the consumer market and enterprise development Department of Smolensk Region.

Ten young entrepreneurs of Smolensk Region attended the business breakfast. The main topics of discussion were the young entrepreneurs supporting (subsidies, grants), the issues of investment in the region, the ways of informing about existing programs.

The participants suggested to involve a business community representative into the commission of the distribution of subsides and grants. Aleksey Gurenkov confirmed that proposal.
