Japanese mobile operator NTT DoCoMo has invested $14 M in Eye-Fi company
First-rate Japanese mobile operator NTT DoCoMo invested about $14 M in Eye-Fi company in the recent financing round within the scope of which California startup attracted about $20 M. Eye-Fi manufactures memory cards with built-in WiFi.
NTT DoCoMo also announced the intention to offer its clients Eye-Fi technology-based services, in particular send photos automatically from digital cameras solution.
Japanese operator also calls itself the first major commercial user of Eye-Fi technology. They work together with this company to create a line of portable WiFi memory cards for smart phones and mobile software to automatically synchronize memory card or smart phone tablet content with a remote cloud service.
