10 Winter School startups invited to an Academpark’s business incubator

On March 3 Academpark summed up the Winter School results. Twenty-nine teams presented their workouts to the expert council, who selected the best startups in each of the six sections. Novosibirsk Technopark reports that ten innovation projects have been invited to the Business Incubator.

The IV innovation school (AWS) accepted more than 150 people. The participants represented not only Novosibirsk. The young people of Kazan, Vladikavkaz, Tomsk, Krasnoyarsk, Semipalatinsk and other cities came to acquire the knowledge on doing high-tech business. Within a month the participants attended lectures and master classes of top managers of the leading regional innovation companies, received recommendations for improving their projects.

29 projects were presented to mentors and business advisors at the end. They were assessed on the basis of three criteria: the project’s degree of maturity, market potential and leadership qualities. A separate session was also organized for students participating in the project, who presented their graduation papers and course works to the experts and managers of Academpark resident companies.

Winter School was very productive for us. We were assisted in the search for new directions where our technology can be applied, we have extended our knowledge of the market - Ekaterina Polozkova, an AWS member shares her impressions.

During the finals in the atrium an exhibition of prototypes and workouts of the School participants was organized. The exposition was visited by the Governor of the Novosibirsk region Vasily Yurchenko, the Mayor of Novosibirsk Vladimir Gorodetsky, the Minister of Education, Science and Innovation Policy of the Novosibirsk Region Vladimir Nikonov.

Today, Summer and Winter Schools of Academpark have proved their importance. The projects I saw are very interesting and have good potential and prospects. They have a future, - the Head of the region expressed his opinion. - The Government of the Novosibirsk region will do their best to create conditions for the development of young innovators.

At the closing ceremony the winners were announced. These were projects such as: Independent greenhouse facilities ran on associated petroleum gas, Health center of the future, Nanoceramics, Word of mouth review service, Corn Sticks game application.

The School is becoming a more powerful event, ready to do new projects, to realize bright ideas. Congratulations on the next stage of developing Academpark and business incubator - the Minister Vladimir Nikonov appealed to the organizers in the speech.

Also, ten teams were invited to the business incubator technopark. Among them are the following: the HT-technology of manufacturing solar cells project; Computer center for modeling, design and analysis of new chemicals and materials; Med-room.com online medical service; service to quickly create Android-applications from virtually any AppsGeyser source and others.

Vitaly Osokin’s student project was recognized as the best. He and four other finalists are invited to a summer internship to the Academpark.

The Tricky pot home hydroponic installation found a business angel at the Winter school. Sergei Melchenko, the Tomsk center of venture capital investments Director-General announced the willingness to invest in this startup during the ceremony.

All the participating students were awarded certificates of the AWS. A number of projects will be presented at a start-up forum to be held in Academpark in April.
