Siemens summed up the scientific-innovation projects competition

The contest was held in two stages: a regional - in each federal district, and federal - in Moscow for the winners of the regional stage. The winners of this school year were determined by the results of the second stage.
The 1st place went to Alexei Mikheyev, the winner of the Central federal district, the project The method of wireless transmission of energy in combination of microwave and Tesla transformer. The high school student from the Kostroma region in his work examines the wireless technology of delivering power using microwave radiation, greatly reducing transmission losses over long distances.
The 2nd place went to Ivan Badin, the winner of the Ural Federal District with the project Peat Fires: effective ways of elimination. The high school student devoted his research to the study of characteristics of peat fires and effective ways of fighting them. In addition, Ivan offered a ready model called Device for extinction fires on peat, which can be used to eliminate the peat fires in remote locations using aircraft.
The 3rd place was awarded Angelica Pavlova from Yakutsk with the project Vegetable pigments from local natural materials. In her paper Angelica proposes the production of vegetable pigments with antibacterial properties of local natural resources. The obtained extracts of paint can be used for dyeing various kinds of natural materials.
After completing of the project the best contestants are also invited to the winner club of the All-Russian competition of scientific and innovative projects for high school students. Within the club the competition winners are given the opportunity to get a mentor, an expert from among the best employees of the company Siemens, which will help to make the first steps towards professional development of high school students. The most successful players of the club will be recommended by the coaches for internships in the Siemens.
