Five KRITBI residents to get up to 1 M RUR for the developmentAn evaluation protocol of START 2012 Modern Materials and Technology for Their Creation open competition was published In May, 18. The competition is organized by the Fund for Promotion of Small Enterprises in Science and Technology. Five projects from Krasnoyarsk - all are the residents of the Krasnoyarsk regional innovation and technology business incubator - were among the winners of the program, qualifying for the first year of work funding that is up to 1 M RUR, the press service of KRITBI reports.

The main objective of the START program is the government support for small innovative companies seeking to develop and master the production of new goods, products, technologies or services using the results of their scientific and technological researches at the initial stage of development with great potential for commercialization.

The program is meant for three phases, each lasting a year. The first year funding is provided for research and development activities, which enables the company to remove a significant portion of the risks of potential investors. The second and third years of funding are on a competitive basis.

A complete project budget according to the Fund is up to 6 M RUR, including 1 M RUR for the first year, up to 2 M RUR for the second year and up to 3 M RUR for the third year of project implementation. According to Andrei Gnezdilov, the Deputy Governor of the Territory, selected areas of innovative development and supporting of the Krasnoyarsk region-technology business incubator, allow residents to receive grants.
