Academpark residents to receive up to 6M RUR for business developmentThree residents of Academpark business incubator are among the winners of START contest organized by Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises in Science and Technology.

New Devices and Hardware Systems programme of annual all-Russian contest START was summed up last week in Moscow. The programme is carried out to give state support to small innovative enterprises at early stage of development with great commercialization potential.

About 550 applications for the New Devices and Hardware Systems programme were received from across Russia. The winners are 120 projects from sixty cities of the country. Six prizes went to Novosibirsk companies. Three of the companies were the residents of Academpark’s instrument-making business incubator.

START’s budget for one winning company is up to 6M RUR, with 1M RUR for the first year, up to 2M RUR for the second year, and up to 3M RUR for the third year of project implementation. However, the funding for the second and third years is given on a competitive basis.

Academpark residents to receive funding in the next three years are Light Electric Company, which develops new high-performance phosphors for LED lighting, Battery Monitoring with its system for monitoring and diagnosis of traction batteries (the winner of Academpark Winter School 2013), EnterAydias RUS Company focused on the development of a protection system for mobile planetarium. In particular, one of the contest winners was a project of a measurement system to analyze flow parameters of oil and gas wells that participated in Winter School 2013.
