TA Venture invests in home textiles online selling serviceUkrainian TA Venture Fund jointly with a group of international investors including Blumberg Capital and Brain-to-Ventures, have invested 3,5 M euros in Urbanara startup in series A investment round, the official report of the Fund says.

Urbanara project is an online service for home textiles and accessories selling. As explained by the Director of the Fund Victoria Tigipko, the ability of the project to scale the business quickly (in the markets of Germany, Austria and the UK) has attracted investors. According to her, Ukrainian suppliers will also be able to work with the project.

According to the Executive Director of the Project Benjamin Esser, customers from Russia and Ukraine will be able to order products in the next 2-3 months, and Russian version of the site will launch early next year.

The project started in February 2011 in Germany and Austria. As of today, the project has more than 800 lots of goods received from 20 countries worldwide. The service handled more than 10 thousand orders within the first year. Services are available in Germany, Austria and Great Britain, expansion to other European countries is also planned.
