Irkutsk and Softline Venture Partners to hold an investment session in June

According to Tsitseronova Marina, the head of the E-Government of the Ministry of information technologies, innovative development and communications of Irkutsk Region, an investment session planned for the end of June and aimed to attract investment in innovative companies of Irkutsk Region that implement projects in information technology (IT).

The investment session will be held under the patronage of the Ministry of Information Technology, innovative development and communications of the region jointly with Softline Venture Partners. IT-projects at the early stages of development will be selected to participate in this event. The session is aimed at mobile application developers, cloud services and e-commerce.

According to the head of Softline Venture Partners Elena Alekseeva, the upcoming session is an example of government initiative to develop innovative entrepreneurship in the region. It will provide an opportunity to meet with developers and programmers of Irkutsk Region. The Fund's experts will give professional valuation of submitted projects and talk about investment opportunities of the Softline Venture Partners Fund.

The investment session participants will be able to apply for an annual student competition - DevGeneration 2012 for first-time software developers, internet services and mobile applications, the government of Irkutsk Region says.
