Shoigu intends to attract $ 7 B from St. Petersburg economic forum  Moscow region authorities are going to attract about $ 7 B investments to the region from the upcoming XVI International Economic Forum. This was stated by the Governor Sergey Shoigu.

Shoigu instructed the government in late May to create new structures for Moscow region development. According to the new governor, it will allow the region to grow by 30-40% faster than its competitors. In particular, the region should see its own Development Corporation, investment Council, financial and business regional center.

The Development Corporation of Moscow area is a joint stock company, which will attract investors to the region’s industry and the creation of industrial, technology parks, business incubators and innovation centers, says the head of the regional government Andrei Sharov.

St. Petersburg International Economic Forum will be held from June 21 till 23 under the Effective Leadership theme. The Forum is an annual international conference on economics and business. The forum, held under the patronage of the President of the Russian Federation, brings together over 2,500 politicians and business leaders, leading scientists, representatives of public and media from around the world to discuss key issues facing Russia and the world.
