Ministry of Natural Resources held a meeting with representatives of venture

The minister of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation Sergei Donskoi had a meeting with representatives of venture business, during which they discussed options for consulting and practical cooperation between the carriers of latest technologies and solutions and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Russia.

According to the ministry, the meeting was attended by the representatives of JSC RVC, JSC RUSNANO, CJSC VTB Capital, JSC Alliance Rosno Asset Management, I2BF, Bright Capital Management.

As noted by Yan Ryazantsev, the Investment Director of OJSC RVC: Today there is 85% of all venture capital professional community of Russia as a part of our meeting.

Russian Ministry of Natural Resources estimated that the number of cities with high and very high levels of air pollution will be reduced by 78 in 2020 and more than 30 million people will live in better environmental conditions. The volume of pollutant emissions from stationary sources will be reduced by 2 times. The volume of waste will be reduced by more than 20%. It is planned to restore ecosystems disturbed by past economic activity, 15 hot environmental points will be liquidated by 2020.

The Ministry is developing several areas to encourage the adoption of best available technologies (BAT) for environmental management and reduction of the negative impact on the environment. Among the areas is a Federal program Environmental Safety of the Russian Federation, which contains several potential areas for the introduction of BAT, in particular, the elimination of accumulated environmental damage, including 50 pilot projects, maintenance and development of species biodiversity, reducing the impact of waste production and consumption, reducing the anthropogenic impact, reducing the negative impact on the environment of the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation, the modernization and development of environmental monitoring systems. - S.Donskoy says.

According to the Director of the Ministry of Natural Resourses Department for State Regulatory Policy in water resources Dmitry Kirillov, within the development of a hydrological monitoring network of Roshydromet, the budget plan for the innovation is about 20 B RUR and 17 B RUR is to subsidize projects on modernization of treatment facilities and implementation of water saving systems.

The dialogue discussed water treatment, utilization of associated gas, areas of bad environmental condition (hot enviromental points), as well as the development of legislative initiatives aimed at stimulating business in environmental issues and effective environmental management.

Following the meeting, the Ministry of Natural Resources and OJSC RVC agreed to establish a permanent platform capable of providing information interaction between agencies and venture business on a practical basis, including drafting and expert review.
