Ministry of Natural Resources to involve Russian funds in eco-innovations

Russian Ministry of Natural Resources intends to promote innovations in the target federal programs. RVC will support this initiative by creating a platform that includes several venture capital funds that desire to work together with the Ministry.

This was stated by the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia Sergey Donskoy, adding that the work with funds will be aimed, first of all, at the implementation of federal programs that are being implemented by the Ministry. The structure of this non-profit partnership includes almost all major venture capital funds, about 70% of all that exist in Russia.

One of the areas of partnership will be the increasing of the efficiency of government programs on water resources, as well as on Lake Baikal.

More than 500B RUR till 2020 are reserved by the federal hydroeconomic program for these purposes, and venture capital funds are very keen to take part in it, introducing new innovative technologies. We are also interested in it - Donskoy concluded.
