Students of MSU Graduate School participate in a contest for IT-startups A contest for IT-startups took place at MSU Graduate School of Business Administration within the IT for Business course. The students needed to propose an idea of a startup in information technology and defend it before investors, as if it were in real life. Each team had only three minutes for a presentation and 10 minutes for questions to demonstrate the idea and try to interest the investors. The competition was held in English.

The jury, in addition to the academic panel GSBA MSU (Natalia Buchstaber, Cyril Kopylov), included representatives of the business community who are familiar with the startups not by hearsay. Dmitry Bergelson used to launch various startups in IT and high technologies, and according to Finestreet IT News he enters the Top 100 IT specialists of Russia.

The jury decided to announce the results of the contest in five categories, which made it possible to note the strengths of submitted projects. Most Viable Business category was won by Senior Achat project submitted by the students from France. Most Interesting Idea category was won by Sponsor.me project – a service for assistance to charitable and social projects. The Presentation Depth nomination was won by eQuipped project - a service to help companies find employees with great potential but little experience (students). Bet and Play project is the winner of the Potential Upside category - a betting service for gamers. IT-heavy category was won by Online Stylist project – a service to assist in the selection and truing on clothes online.

Representatives of the jury gave feedback on each project, as well as advice to young entrepreneurs on the creation of their own startups. In general, the results exceeded all expectations.
