Large tech transfer center to open in mid-Volga

A large nanotech transfer center is expected to open later this month in Ulyanovsk?s Zavolzhye industrial zone, in the mid-Volga area, Openexpo.ru reported. The new facility will cover an area of almost 7,000 square meters. Its residents will reportedly focus on the development and production of auto components and also do R&D in construction, instrument making, radio electronics, aircraft building, and spacecraft development. In addition, local researchers are expected to start developing medicine-related nuclear technologies there. The nanotech center program is expected to create about 300 new local jobs, the source said. It will help screen and package investment projects, provide consultations for start-ups on fundraising, assist companies in preparing paperwork, and also offer legal, marketing and management consulting services...
