Russian inventor offers megalopolises transformable electric car

Konstantin Artemyev, an inventor from Astrakhan in the Lower Volga and the CEO of his own company Bravo Motors, has developed what he?s dubbed ?eTrike,? a transformable electric car, The Astrakhan Post reported last week. The new car is said to have its batteries charged from an ordinary wall outlet in a house, which is purportedly enough to drive up to 70 kilometers. The car can run at a speed of up to 90 km/h, a good enough speed for a city. In addition, it is reported to be able to climb over 20cm high pavement edge slabs and reduce its size when parked. The car can even be controlled with a joystick or from a tablet PC, the inventor claims. Mr. Artemyev believes his eTrike can be very useful in larger cities, especially for physically handicapped drivers. Governor Alexander Zhilkin of Astrakhan deems it necessary to find ways of setting up serial production of the new car as soon as possible, The Astrakhan Post reported...
