Resident of KRITBI implements translation service into Universities

Resident of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Innovation and technology Business Incubator (KRITBI) – the company “Prism” – offered Universities to use its development: translation service LangPrism – in educational process.

In KRITBI has been conducted the meeting between the Company-resident “Prism” director Aleksander Yefremov and representatives of Universities: Institute of Philology and Language Communication, and Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University.

Aleksander Yefremov said about opportunities, which gives the development of his company to educational Institutions: “Thanks to the service LangPrism students can translate articles, published in the Internet, and teachers, who head the project, can leave their comments and editions to translated text”. According to Aleksander Yefremov, Institutes can use service not only for increase of translating skills of student, but also for creation of scientific publications base on various spheres at different languages.

The project has already been tested in the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University, Siberian State technology University, and also in the Krasnoyarsk affiliate of Saint Petersburg of external economic relations, economy and law. During the meeting, decent of the cathedra for English philology of the Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University Tatiana Safronova has shared with successful working experience with translating service of the Company “Prism”. “With the help of this program it is possible to widen subject spectrum of translated materials, maximum individuate independent translating work of students and improve translating skills, simultaneously reclaiming new information technologies”, - said Tatiana Safronova.

Akelsander Yefremov told participants of the meeting, that from the moment of cooperation start with regional Institutes, the translating service LangPrism 20 times increased volume of translated texts. At the moment with help of the service LangProsm there has already been translated more than 500 000 words.

Representative of the Siberian federal University, candidate of pedagogic sciences, decent of cathedra for translation theory and practice Valentin Kononov invited Aleksander yefremov to conduct the meeting with students and teachers of the Institute in order to make cooperation closer.
