Founder of the “VKontakte” plans to speak on the conference in Moscow

Founder of the social network “VKontakte” Pavel Durov can speak at forthcoming technological conferences in Moscow and Paris, informs the agency “Bloomberg”. The subject for speech, according to the agency information, will become the secured messenger “Telegram”.

The messenger “Telegram” has been presented by PavelDurov in October on the conference “TechCrunch Disrupt” in Berlin. Mr.Durov, according to the “Bloomberg” message, confirms that his messenger is similar to the popular “WhatsApp”, but differs by use of the own coding system and does not possess itself as a commercial product.

Mr.Durov considers that his obligation is to support a new product and his team. Investors of the “VKontakte” do not agree such position. The Fund “United Capital Partners”, which possess 48% of stocks, considers that Mr.Durov should spend his time on working at promotion of the “VKontakte”.

International interview with Mr.Durov usually are focused on the largest social network in Russia. But “VKontakte”, according to him, does not need attention, informs the “Bloomberg”.

Besides the “Telegram”, motivation for public performance, according to Mr.Durov, is a call of European Startups to competition with global American giants. It is not excluded that for his speech in Moscow Mr.Durov will choose the conference “TechCrunch”, which will become the largest technological event in Russia in December.
