VII Kazan Venture Fair

This year, the VII Kazan Venture Fair will bring together more than seven investment funds, among them: Investment and Venture Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan, European Tech Tour, European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EVCA), The Russian Venture Company, The European Business Angels Association (EBAN), DFJ VTB Aurora, the Association of Innovative Regions of Russia, the Asset Management Company Fund, Trident.

More than 60 companies expect to receive investments. Over the past seven years, Kazan Venture Fair has become Russia's largest contact area for venture investments. Owners of small and medium-sized businesses are here to present their projects to potential investors. Each year, more and more companies wish to participate in the fair.

Those wishing to participate in the fair go through a tough selection. Everyone can apply for participation, but few will be able to present a project to future investors. Within the first selection the companies take part in various congresses blocks, conferences, workshops and master classes. Companies that pass the selection can present their business projects in the exposition block.

The outcome of last year exemplifies the effectiveness of Kazan Venture Fair. Thus, the German company Wermuth Asset Management, and the government of Tatarstan created a clean technology fund of € 110 M.

The fair will end with award ceremony of companies which have successfully defended their projects and showed the most convincing presentations.
