Technology implementation Center of SSMU laboratory opens

The center is created within the university innovation infrastructure development program, which received the Russian Federation government support, and is intended to bring the ideas of scientists of the Siberian State Medical University to creating new technologies and industrial down-scaling, the press service of the regional administration reports.

As the name implies, our main goal is to provide a new level of SSMU development implementation, such as drugs, dietary supplements, diagnostic tools, medical products, - says the head of the center, Doctor of Pharmacy Artem Guriev.

A prototype of small modern pharmaceutical production was reconstructed in the center, allowing to produce experimental batches trying to make it a versatile, suitable for different types of technologies. In addition to technical and technological aspects, the center also plans to deal with certification, development of normative documents, which usually causes difficulties for scientists.

One of the most important tasks of the center is the involvement of students in the scientific process - says Artyom Guriev. - We are ready to assist them in implementing the ideas, but if there is a simple interest, a desire to work, we also will be glad to accept them in the team. Students can become members of our small innovative enterprises. And the big pharmaceutical manufacturers are interested that we not only convey the technology to them, but also provide the personnel knowing all the details of this technology.

SSMU technology implementation Center plans equipping it during 2012 in accordance with international quality standards (GMP). This will allow to produce not only the substances but also pharmaceutical forms, including injectables, to participate in Pharma 2020national program implementation.
