The first stage of Technopark opened in Mordovia

The first stage of innovation and production site of Mordovian Technopark was put in commission on August, 24. The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation N.Nikiforov and the Head of the Republic of Moldova V.Volkov.

Mordovian Technopark is specialized in energy-efficient lighting, electronic instrument and optoelectronics, fiber optics, nanotechnology and nanomaterials.

Technopark integrates existing innovation infrastructure and innovation enterprises of the Republic of Mordovia in a single mechanism, creates new incentives for the development of small and medium innovative businesses including small research enterprises at universities and research institutes.

The Minister of Communications and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation familiarized himself with the residents of the Technopark and their projects. One of the main residents is the Center of Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology of the Republic of Mordovia. Last year Mordovia won the third contest of RUSNANO to establish nanotechnology centers. Nanotechnology The Center of the Republic of Mordovia develops projects in electronic engineering, composites and nanomaterials.
