Three technology projects from Moscow and Cherepovets will represent Russia in this year?s Microsoft Imagine Cup international final to be held in St. Petersburg.
Three technology projects from Moscow and Cherepovets will represent Russia in this year?s Microsoft Imagine Cup international final, which will be held in Russia?s St. Petersburg for the first time in the ten-year history of this renowned global competition for student innovators, BFM.ru reports. The following project teams have been selected for participation in the final this coming July: 1) In the Social Projects category?Gesis from Cherepovets, a city in the Vologda region in Northwest Russia. The team has developed a rehab solution for children with central nervous and locomotor systems disorders. The project is based on special computer games helping kids develop motor activity, coordination, and reaction. As they play children may expect to improve the synchronization of the functions of their extremities and senses, and begin to move better. 2) In the Innovation category?Out of Focus from Moscow with its Kinect Magic project. It is a system for presentations and performances, which uses Microsoft?s Kinect to create a variety of visual effects...
