Yandex opens Startup Summer Camp

Yandex opens Startup Summer CampYandex will conduct a summer workshop for startup developers Tolstoy Summer Camp in June and August of this year at its Moscow office, Yandex reported ahead of the Yac/m conference opening.

Applications are accepted from the 16th to 31st of May, the selection of candidates will take place from the 1st to 24th of June. All participants will receive a scholarship during the training period. Yandex will pay for travel and accommodation of out-of-town developers. Participants will work with experts in high load web services, big data, patents, and management. Among experts are Esther Dyson of EDVentures, the founder of Game Insight and Farminers Incubator Igor Matsanyuk, the head of Microsoft incubation programs Zack Weisfeld, representatives of Runa Capital and Seedcamp funds, LeBrand accelerator and others. The project leavers will have an opportunity to present their projects to investors and participate in acceleration programs.

The workshop will take place from June 24 to August 30 in Moscow. The first 10-day stage is for the development of ideas and team building, as well as for defending your project idea. The second 20-day stage is for making a business plan, interface project and audience segmentation. The third, longest stage, is for working on a prototype. Besides working on their startups, the participants will attend seminars and lectures by the market experts.
