Russia to create social network for teachers?

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has leaked to the press its plans to create a national social network for all school teachers, enabling them to interact in a unified electronic environment.

The Russian Ministry of Education and Science has plans for next year to create a national social network for all school teachers, a unified electronic environment for pedagogues to interact in and learn from, the Izvestia newspaper website reported. The future website will be reportedly designed to reflect the main features that analogous services offer abroad. The Russian government authority is said to believe that the new social network will enable teachers to discuss pertinent legislation and educational issues, and also share experience. In the prospective network, to solely be accessed by teachers, there will be a forum venue for pedagogues to communicate and a library media center.
