Two portfolio companies of ROSNANO are named Technology Pioneers 2014

Global Economy Forum included two portfolio companies of ROSNANO - Selecta Biosciences and BIND Therapeutics – in a list of laureates of the prestige award Technology Pioneers 2014. The award of the Global Economy Forum has been given to companies, which create and implement principally new technologies, able to significantly influence modern society.

Portfolio companies of ROSNANO Selecta Biosciences and BIND Therapeutics specialize at leading investigations and developments in the sphere of nanomedicine. Key element of cooperation between ROSNANO and Selecta and BIND is transfer of leading technologies into Russia. In November, 2012 Selecta Biosciences became the first foreign project company of ROSNANO in pharmacy section, which opened scientific-investigation center in Russia – it located in Khimki on the territory of high technologies center “KhimRar”. In March, 2013 workers of “Selecta (RUS)” confirmed technologies transfer tSVP from the Boston laboratory into Russia, synthesizing the first platform of antinicotinic vaccine nano-particles.

From the moment of technology Pioneers establishment in 2000, more than 550 innovation companies became its owners, which base on all five continents and offering the most various branches. A list of laureates of Technology Pioneers 2014 entered 36 companies. Awarding will be conducted September, 11-13 at a special meeting of laureates in Dalian, China.
