RVC will create the infrastructure of venture investment in the Krasnodar Ter

In September, 27 between RVC and Administration of the Krasnodar Territory within the Sochi International Investment Forum has been executed an agreement on cooperation in the sphere of innovation activity development.

Within the limits of the agreement it is planned to realize the cycle of events for establishment and development of infrastructure of venture investment of the Krasnodar Territory.

Experts of RVC will give support in making contacts with participants of venture market and the expert society in order to increase quality of innovation projects preparation. Particularly, representatives of the Territory are planning to become participants of the project on establishment of the international Center for competencies on the basis of the business incubator of the Technopark “Ingria” (Saint Petersburg). The concept of the Center is developed by RVC jointly with the Technopark “Ingria” and colleagues from “Aalto Start-Up Center” (Finland).

“We see that colossal potential, by which the Krasnodar territory has. Thus, the “VC-Fund of Krasnodar Region” for investments in small enterprises in the scientific-technologies sphere has already invested 709M RUB in 7 projects. But absence of developed infrastructure seriously stops development of innovation entrepreneurism, - considers Igor Agamirzyan, director general of RVC. – We believe that joint work with all interested structures in support of the Ministry of strategic development, investments and foreign economic activity, and the Administration of the Krasnodar Territory will allow making the Krasnodar Territory the key region by entrepreneurism activity”.

The executed agreement is the continuation of joint work of RVC and region’s management. Thus, Krasnodar for the second time appears to be one of the regional organizers for the entrepreneurs’ contest “Business of Innovation Technologies” (BIT): gathers applications fro Startups, coordinates projects and directs it for consideration and further work in RVC Funds. This year three teams entered the contest’s final, participation of which in the acceleration program has been financed by RVC.

Today among factors, which prevent innovations development in the Kransodar Territory, one of the leading positions takes lack of qualified personnel. This is why within the limits of cooperation there are foreseen special events for preparation and personnel development for innovation activity. For education there will be attracted not only domestic, but also international educational resources. In particular, representatives of the Krasnodar Universities will take part in the educational program on innovations commercialization, which will be held in Singapore and Hong Kong in November.

Besides, in 2013 the region actively included to educational program: in spring regional session of practice consulting, which has been organized by RVC, have taken part technology entrepreneurs, representatives of regional authorities and Universities. It is also planned to implement in region’s Universities the best practices of English innovations’ commercialization and innovation ecosystems building system.

One more actual for the region subject will be discussed in the course of the Sochi Forum: within the round table “Investments in youth entrepreneurism”, organized by RVC, will be discussed problems of culture deficit in the part of technology entrepreneurism.
