By 2030, a 250MW network of power stations may be launched in the Orenburg region, in the South-West Urals, to use alternative sources of energy, interregional news agency Regnum reported, citing a statement by Vyacheslav Vasin, the Orenburg regional minister of economic development, industrial policy and commerce. Three Russian and international companies are said to be willing to invest in the ambitious program, the source reported, including VentRus, Avelar Solar Technology and Ecoengineering. The overall tab for the program is expected to exceed $705m.
