Yakutia’s contacts with Bright Capital and Sofinnova

The First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Alex Struchkov held a working session on venture capital investments in the republic with the participation of Michael Chuchkevich (Bright Capital Fund) and Antoine Copernic (Sofinnova fund). The session took place on May 17, 2012.

The guests arrived to present the venture capital investment and explore possibilities of companies’ cooperation with the Republic and its scientific institutions and enterprises, the report said.

In particular, they discussed the cooperation in such fields as healthcare, energy, wood, oil and gas processing. Everything we invest at different stages becomes the technological and industrial companies, - said M. Chuchkevich.

Note that the systematic work on the formation of investment infrastructure is conducted in the republic taking into consideration the experience of Russian and foreign colleagues. OJSC Venture Company Yakutia was founded in 2011 by the Government of the RS (Y) and JSC Republican investment company.

Recall that in March 2012 the parties have already conducted a similar meeting in Paris, during the visit of the delegation from Yakutia to the French capital for the presentation of projects on cooperation with UNESCO.
