VCs from Asia to visit the third GIP forumAbout 30 venture investors from Hong Kong, China and the Republic of Korea announced their participation in Global Innovation Partnerships-2012 forum (GIP - 2012), which will take place in Moscow from October 2 to 4. The forum aims to evaluate the prospects of investment in Russian high-tech projects with global potential. The visit includes meetings with representatives of government, big business, Russian entrepreneurs and investors.

The forum is organized by Russian development institutions - RVC, RUSNANO and the Skolkovo Fund.

The delegation includes representatives of venture capital funds and private equity funds which manage more than $60B. The leadership of largest Asian investor associations will also visit Moscow. The members of the associations manage the capital which is over $800B.

Among the guests of the forum are the heads of foundations and associations such as CITIC Capital Holding; SAIF Partners; CDH Investments; Northern Light Venture Capital; Shenzhen Capital Group Co., Ltd; Sequoia Capital China; China Venture Capital and Private Equity Association; STIC Investments and Korean Venture Capital Association.

Forum Global Information Partnerships will be held in Russia for the third time. The first event in 2010 attracted the interest of the U.S. partners to Russia’s venture capital investment and innovations, and the second event in 2011 attracted the interest of European colleagues.

In addition to the leaders of RVC, RUSNANO and the Skolkovo Fund the forum will be also visited by representatives of governments of the Russian Federation and Moscow, Russian Venture Capital Association (RVCA), the leaders of Russian innovative business.
