Public lectures of INNOVUS-2013 Forum to begin on May 20 in Tomsk

Public lectures under the programme of the XV Tomsk Innovation Forum INNOVUS-2013 will take place on May 20-25 at six Tomsk universities.

According to the press service of the Tomsk Region administration, the lectures are open for pupils, students, residents and visitors, the forum participants and for all comers.

Tomsk State University invites to attend lectures on economics, philosophy, sociology, physics, and urban environment development, May 20-24. Among the lecturers are the General Designer of Gazprom Space Systems, JSC Nikolay Sevostianov, vice president of the Presidium of the Union of Architects of Russia Elena Grigorieva, the head of ArepGroupStrategy Nicolas Bouchaud.

Lectures in Tomsk Polytechnic University will take place from the 20th to 23rd of May. The lectures will be delivered by professors of Technical University of Munich, the School of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences of City University London, the New University of Lisbon, Moscow State University, scientists from the University of Southampton and Liaoning Normal University.

Siberian State Medical University invites you to attend a lecture by Professor Valentina Alifirova devoted to treatments for stroke patients. Professor Yuriy Vecherskiy will tell about the possibilities of modern cardiovascular surgery on May 25th.

A lecture on unique buildings will be held at TSUAB on May 23rd (the lecturer is the Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences Vladimir Travush). A lecture at TSPU by Professor Lydia Inisheva on the role of ecosystems in sustainable development of the biosphere will take place on May 22nd, Professor Emanuela Helfman’s lecture on Modern Approaches in Education – on May 24th. TUSUR’s lecture topics are modification of dielectric materials (Professor Efim Oks, May 22), new light technologies (Vasiliy Tuev, May 22nd), application of nanotechnologies in spacecraft systems (Professor Mikhail Mikhailov, May 23rd).

In addition, SSMU organizes tours to the training center for simulation and museum of the University for students, visitors and participants of the forum.
