Ingria to hold a primary project expertise for Skolkovo

Ingria Technopark and the Skolkovo Foundation signed a cooperation agreement at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The agreement provides for carrying out by the technology park the primary expertise of projects from St. Petersburg. As Irina Kalashnikova, the Technopark CEO explained, their staff will be trained at Skolkovo in order to help companies draw up the applications in full compliance with the requirements of the fund.

Alexander Turkot, Executive Director of the Information Technology Cluster of Skolkovo Innovation Center says that rejection percentage is high: not more than 80-95% of applications from the thousands filed pass through the initial selection. Not more than 20% of the remaining projects receive grants for development in the future.

At present three companies from the Ingria industrial park have received Skolkovo resident status. They are Speereo, Medvodena and Spektralazer. Now Skolkovo considers their applications for a grant, each company claims to be worth about 30 M RUR. In addition, the company Hydraulic Accumulators of Increased Efficiency claims for the resident status.

Today's agreement provides that Ingria will supply Skolkovo at least eight projects a year. However, according to Irina Kalashnikova, Ingria now has 77 residents and at least a half of them plans to eventually become Skolkovo residents.
