Winners of Skolkovo Innovation Award supported by Cisco I-PRIZE

Winners of Skolkovo Innovation Award supported by Cisco I-PRIZESkolkovo Innovation Award competition has announced its finalists. The competition supported by Cisco I-PRIZE took place for the second time to support startup projects able to become the basis for the development of new tech companies in Russia. Six finalists will present their projects to the jury, which includes representatives of the Skolkovo Fund, Cisco and its partners. Three winners will receive awards in the form of Cisco’s targeted grants totaling 5,25M RUR.

Six projects became the finalists of the Skolkovo Innovation Award competition supported by Cisco I-PRIZE:

1. Med-in-Touch – a system to control medication adherence. The system helps patients taking multiple drugs for chronic diseases to control the regularity of taking meds, it liaises with family members, medical staff and pharmacists. The solution is an electronic dispenser connected to the Internet and giving signals to smartphone interface.

2. MedM - a platform for mobile monitoring of vital signs. It includes a multi-platform mobile software to receive data wirelessly from medical devices (Bluetooth, BLE, NFC, ANT +) and transfer it to a cloud server; a server software for cloud storage; API for integration with information systems; a demo web portal.

3. Penxy – a content platform for broadcasting and recording presentations, which is populated through a mobile application. This solution allows you to record, broadcast and publish speech in real time. The application synchronizes voice with slides and sends them to Penxy.com.

4. RealtimeBoard - online boards for education and creativity. SaaS service RealtimeBoard (http://realtimeboard.com/) provides virtual boards for collaborative work. You can post pictures and stickers on them, draw, make notes, add GoogleDrive documents and edit them.

5. Multi-format network for biomedical data exchange. It allows to monitor the condition of inpatients, outpatients and mobile patients in remote settlements providing automatic diagnosis in real time, as well as to conduct councils, doctor's rounds, and reception of patients with non-specific diseases in video format.

6. CardioSens - a system for automatic prediction of a heart attack. It is an implant fixed to the patient's tooth, which is always in contact with the salivary to detect first signs of an approaching heart attack and alert the patient and the doctor.

The competition has shown considerable interest of the Russian business community in such areas as health, education and energy efficiency - the head of Cisco Innovation Center Anna Baranskaya says.

Participants of the final stage of the competition got additional time to prepare, so the final was postponed until September 2013. The competition final will take place at Cisco Technology Center, which is being created in Skolkovo Hypercube (the center should become the main platform of the company's innovative programs in Russia).
