Next gen fiber optic sounder developed and manufactured in Urals

Alexander Korsakov, a young scientist at Ural Federal University (UrFU) in Yekaterinburg, has been awarded this year?s Russian Youth Prize for Nanotechnology for the development of brand new fiber optic sounders for infrared interferometer spectrometers, the UrFU press service announced. Developed just recently, the new sounders have already been put into production at UrFU?s Innovation Infrared Fiber Technologies Center. ?The fiber optic sounder that my colleagues and I have developed facilitates the monitoring of a range of crucial chemical processes in sectors such as oil and gas or pharma.
