The I Regional Youth Innovation Convention in the Amur Region

The I Regional Youth Innovation Convention opened today in Blagoveshchensk within the Science in the Amur Region festival with the participation of young scientists of the region. The Convent is a stage of All-Russian Competition of Youth Innovation Projects. It is organized by the Ministry of Education and Science under the Zvorykinsky Project program, which aims to promote youth activities in innovation, to find promising developments.

The motto of the Convention is Our Response to the Challenges of the Future. 26 young scientists of the Amur Region will present their projects to public and expert advice. The Advisory Council which includes representatives from business, government and scientists will evaluate young scientists’ researches. 19 experts will work in total.

Winners will be selected in three categories: Best innovative idea, Best Innovation Project and Best Innovative Product. The authors of the projects that won the regional round will participate in the Far East Youth Innovation Convention.

The program of the convention includes a research projects presentation, panel discussions, master classes and trainings.

Among the projects submitted by the participants are all kinds of development. For example, young scientists present experimental drugs developed by them: Antigallerin bioinsecticide for pest control, Lobelon - homeopathic medicine for the animals. In addition, the researchers presented a laser technology of seeds irradiation, an unmanned system for objects monitoring with the help of aerial photographs, electronic fuel consumption control systems, mobile excursion set, a mobile unit for sampling the contaminated surface and much more.
