New Altai contest of innovation projects
New Altai innovation projects contest is held annually. The aim of the competition is creation of institutional conditions for increasing the innovation development pace of the Altai region economy on the basis of involvement scientific and technological activities in the economic turnover. The total prize fund is 800,000 RUR.
The competition is held in accordance with the decree On the annual regional competition of innovation projects New Altai, approved by Governor Alexander Karlin. The organizer is the General Directorate of economics and investments of the Altai Territory.
Participants may be individuals, legal entities of any organizational and legal form and ownership, carrying out innovative activities in the region.
The competition has three categories: The Best Innovative Idea, Promising innovative project, The successful start. Three prizes are awarded in each of them.
Projects will be evaluated according to the following criteria: innovativeness (creativity and originality) of the idea, perspectives and scientific and technological novelty, scientific potential. There will also be taken into account the practical experience of those implementing the work, the importance of the project for economic and social spheres of the region, production, market and business potential, etc.
Applications are accepted from May 14 to June 27, 2012. The competition documentation is available on the website of the Altai regional innovation data bank (www.altkibd.ru) under Events.
61 applications for participation in the New Altai contest were filed in 2011, representing the projects aimed at developing new products and technologies in the field of engineering, production and processing of agricultural products, chemical manufacturing, and construction. A number of projects is connected with the introduction of new information systems and technologies. A catalog of innovative projects was issued at the end of the contest, electronic version is posted on the website of the Altai regional innovation data bank.
