Skolkovo to take part in the creation of a venture fund in Belarus
Skolkovo Innovation Center will take part in the establishment of a venture fund at the Belarusian High-Tech Park. This will allow Belarusian IT-companies to receive funding from the Russian fund for the implementation of promising projects, with no taxes paid to the Russian Federation.
This was announced by the head of the Hi-Tech Park Valery Tsepkalo at the finals of the IT-JUMP-2012 youth competition.
The opportunities for the cooperation between the Hi-Tech Park and the Russian Fund Skolkovo were discussed not long ago in Minsk during a visiting session of the Advisory Scientific Council of the innovation center. HTP and Skolkovo have different concepts of development. The Skolkovo Fund spends the money allocated to it, and we, on the contrary, earn money. It means that we do not take money from the government but interact with the structures represented in the IT-sphere, - the director of the HTP administration added.
In addition, it is reported that several foreign companies will also take part in the establishment of the new Belarusian Fund.
