New Novosibirsk nanomodifiers said to improve metals ?dramatically?
Sygma.Novosibirsk, a Siberian start-up, has launched its pilot production of nanomodifiers for steels, cast irons and nonferrous metals which are said to dramatically improve properties
Sygma.Novosibirsk, a Siberian start-up, announced last week the launch of its pilot production of nanomodifiers for steels, cast irons and nonferrous metals which are said to dramatically improve the key properties of the metals, such as strength, temperature drop resistance, antifriction, and some others. The main advantage of the new nanomodification technique is its universality; it can be applied at any factory as it requires no alteration in a chosen smelting technology prevalent at a company, the developer says. ?Nanomodifiers that improve the properties of metals considerably are added in small quantities at a finishing stage of smelting. We?re testing the addition of the modifiers to Hadfield steel on the premises of an Evraz foundry,? Sygma.Novosibirsk explained in its press release. The company says it has reached agreements on test nanomodifier supplies with such Russian players in Siberia?s metal sector as Siblitmash, Sibelectroterm and others...
