A reported 64 projects have applied for participation in an innovation project competition being held by the authorities of the Yamal-Nenets region in Northwest Siberia, Alliance-Media reported. Most applications reportedly came from the IT and tourism sectors (13 and nine projects, respectively). In addition, regional innovators are seeking government support in pushing their projects in food and light industries, ecology, energy saving and alternative energy, public utilities, housing construction in the Extreme North conditions, transportation, and road building.
