SAP announces the opening of its Co-Innovation Lab in Skolkovo

SAP Company, one of the world's largest suppliers of business management solutions, announces the opening of a Co-Innovation Lab in Skolkovo. The purpose of the laboratory is to support the development of innovative applications and solutions of local companies - from idea to implementation - based on SAP technology and to strengthen global cooperation with Russian clients and partners.

The Co-Innovation Lab will operate on the basis of Russian Research and Development Center SAP (SAP Labs), which was launched in December, 2011. Russian scientists, designers, engineers and businessmen together with the participants of educational projects and SAP international community will work on the creation of competitive world-class high technology developments in such priority areas as In-Memory computing, solutions for analytics and cloud services, mobile applications, location, etc.

After the launch of SAP Co-Innovation Labs in Palo Alto (2007), Tokyo (2008), Bangalore (2009) and Sao Paulo (2010), the official opening of the Co-Innovation Lab in Moscow marks an important step in the expansion of SAP COIL global network under the leadership of Axel Henning Zalenko, the vice president for technologies and innovation platforms of the company.

SAP plans further expansion of its partner ecosystem and to work more closely with the CIS companies on the creation of new business technologies. The growth in the number of co-innovation labs around the world expands the community of professionals working to develop innovative solutions, when each region brings valuable knowledge and experience of local markets.
